Services

• Pet Food Outreach

  We provide pet food and supplies to those in need.

• Financial Assistance

  This program is for animal guardians in need of financial assistance caring for their animals.

• Humane Education

  Humane Education is a subject which is required to be taught in New York State public elementary schools and PAWS has been doing so for twenty five plus years. This program consists of volunteers who are retired teachers. We offer this program at no charge and bring to schools, libraries, boy scouts, girl scouts, etc. This program is our PAWS to Learn program.

• Low-cost Spay/Neuter

  PAWS partners with veterinarians to spay or neuter for a reduced fee for those in need.

• Pet Adoption/Fostering

If you are ready to provide a loving home to an animal and have been thinking about adopting a pet, check out our pets for adoption.

• Pet Rehoming

  If you need help finding a new home for your beloved animal, we can help.

• Seniors with Animals Programs

  This program concentrates on providing support for those senior citizens in the community or in a group home environment, who currently have animals or are considering adopting a companion. We provide in home care for those seniors in need and take these animals into our foster and/or adoption program when their senior guardian can no longer care for their pet. We provide food, financial assistance, animal transport and respite fostering as necessary. Our SWAP volunteers are all FBI background checked and fingerprinted. We also place senior animals with senior citizens and assist with any necessary financial costs and the care for these animals.

• TNR Community Cat Resource

  This program provides free spay/neuter services for people who either have feral cats in their yard or for those individual/groups who provide feral cat trapping. We are working with several long island veterinarians who graciously provide a very low fee which PAWS funds.
