PAWS to Learn Page

NYS Section 809 of the Education law requires publicly-funded elementary schools to provide instruction on the humane treatment and protection of animals. PAWS is pleased to present humane education training to all students, those attending private school as well. Humane education examines many of the challenges facing our world, and the specific lessons we are offering focus on people’s relationships to animals and the environment.

With studies that show there is a direct link between animal abuse and human violence, along with the growing concern for the state of our planet, these lessons are imperative for creating a more peaceful and sustainable world.

We bring humane education lessons to elementary schools free of charge. We also have lessons for scouts, library programs, etc.
